Marching bands, horses, clowns, kids-all the necessary ingredients for a good old-fashioned community processional-make their way from downtown Tiburon to Belvedere Community Park, where everyone's invited to picnic and frolic to the Special Concert Event
Parade begins around 1:30 p.m. and ends at approximately 3 p.m. The starting point for the parade is along Tiburon Boulevard at Mar West. The parade will travel down Tiburon Boulevard to Main Street, down Main Street to Beach Road, down Beach Road to San Rafael Avenue to end at Belvedere Communit Park in time for the 4 p.m. There will be a Special Community Concert. Parade participants will be contacted regarding line locations and times. It's not too late to get involved! Contact the Town of Tiburon to join in! |

Founded in 1999, by Robert C. Placak, a Marin County native and Tiburon resident, the RCP Tiburon Mile has quickly become known as the most competitive and prestigious open water swim event in the world. Hundreds of swimmers will once again converge upon the Town of Tiburon, California and battle the waters of The Raccoon Strait on Sunday, September 16, 2007.
This premier international open water swim will include many Olympic Athletes from the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece including Natalie Coughlin, Klete Keller, Eric Vendt, and Kalyn Keller. We expect the Elite Field will be the deepest and most competitive to date drawing Olympians and World Champion swimmers from over 20 different countries, including Russia, Australia, South Africa, Italy, Brazil, Mexico and Canada.
