EZR Mobile, Simon Coyle

Simon Coyle says his wife calls him “Mr. Chaos,” an apt title considering all the various businesses he owns, has owned and runs. In reverse, he claims she is “his backbone,” because she handles the books for all of his businesses.

The Tiburon entrepreneur has over 37 years experience in the parking and transportation fields. He not only is CEO of EZR Mobile, a mobile software/smart signage company he started six years ago, but he also is founder of Corinthian International Parking Service which ended up as Parking Solutions, started in 1986; Bulldog Construction and Maintenance, started in 2010; and Churchill Arms Pub in Folsom, CA, opened in 2012, among others.

The United Kingdom native grew up near Cambridge and ran the King William IV pub until 1982 when he signed on to the crew of a 46-foot ketch out of Sausalito. However, when he landed in Marin, he learned the boat was disabled, so he was out of a job.

He found work as a chauffeur and, six months later, became a business partner with his boss in a Los Gatos limousine company which they named Corinthian Coach Limousine. The pair started out with one limo, and soon owned five cars before Simon bought out his partner. The company then grew to operating 13 limousines and, in 1989, Simon sold the business and moved to Folsom. During this time, he became an American citizen.

For 24 years, he lived in Folsom where he opened an English pub that serves authentic English fare such as fish and chips, bangers and mash and shepherd’s pie. It’s also known as a “real” sports haven for both American and international sports enthusiasts, while also sporting a pool table and a dartboard.

Simon and Shelley, his wife of 20 years, moved to Tiburon in 2012. He has a grown son and daughter and a 14-year-old son, Alex, who will be a Redwood freshman this fall. When not engrossed in taking care of his many businesses, Simon says he enjoys traveling and boating.
