MCOC DEI Task Force Vision & Commitment
The Marin Council of Chambers Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Task Force believes all people in Marin must have the same economic opportunities in our community regardless of age, appearance, disability, ethnicity, gender (identity or expression), geographic location, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status.
We invite all Marin County employers to join us in our pledge of responsibility and accountability. As Chambers of Commerce in Marin, we will spearhead the development of a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy for our business chambers as well as connect and support action and education in the greater business community. We also demand fair treatment, provide resources and opportunity for the advancement of all.
The Tiburon Peninsula Chamber of Commerce through our partnership with WE ARE ONE MARIN is pleased to showcase our Tiburon BIPOC owned businesses.
WHAT IS WE ARE ONE MARIN? It is a campaign spearheaded by the Marin Council of Chambers that promotes a different minority owned business owner each week in Marin County — at no cost to the participants. The recognition comes in the form of an advertisement in which your picture is taken by one of our partners, Desire to Inspire Photography.

“Because They Believed” is a 101- minute documentary containing interviews of athletic trailblazers that were the first to break through racial barriers to participate in professional sports. These are stories of forgotten male & female athletes who's perseverance and dedication changed the world of sports forever. In this documentary, we memorialize the stories of these athletes who broke barriers and opened the doors for the professional athletes of color today.
